WoW Forever is live: how the launch talent trees look
WoW Forever launched November 4, 2026. A first pass over all 27 launch talent trees, the new talents that matter, and where to plan your points.
WoW Forever went live on November 4, 2026, and with it a full set of reworked Classic-plus talent trees. We pulled all 27 trees, 467 talents, from the live client and spent launch week clicking through them. Short version: the Classic bones survive, and roughly one talent in six is new or meaningfully reworked.
The headline changes
Paladins got the deepest rework. Retribution and Protection carry brand-new capstones (Unsealed Wrath, Champion of the Light, Shieldsworn, Iron Creed), and Protection is now a functional dungeon tank rather than a curiosity. Hunters received Sniper Shot and Strider Kick, giving Marksmanship a fresh spender and Survival an actual identity. Subtlety Rogues picked up Death Mark and Boot Knife.
Smaller but felt: Warrior's Spearing Strike dismounts players in the open world, Gore Drinker turns Enrage effects into self-healing, Shadow Priests gained Devouring Contagion plus Early Demise, Destruction Warlocks got Bane of Havoc, and every Mage picks up Incineration early in Fire.
What it means for your first character
Leveling logic barely moved: low-downtime specs stay king. Check the leveling tier list for the current order, and the class builds pages for point-by-point spreads. When you want to plan your own, the talent calculator tracks your picks as a leveling order you can screenshot or share.
Data freshness
Talent names, ranks and tooltips on this site are extracted from the live client and were last checked on 6 November 2026. We re-check after every patch; patch-note summaries will live on this blog.
